All Grown Up

I can't believe that my "baby" is no longer using a high chair... he has graduated to a Booster Seat.  It's a little sad to me, but also exciting too.  On the one hand, I won't have more babies in my home... On the other hand, I get to watch my three AMAZING children grow up each day.  And each day brings us new, fun, and exciting things.  I love that Aiden wants to give up his high chair and sit at the table with the "big kids."  Our kitchen now has an empty space at the end of our counter... I wonder what we'll put there? :)

Smile

I don't know if is the Chicken Noodle Soup that we have been eating at our house, or just the fact that one child or another has been sick for the last 7 days... but man I am starting to think the walls are caving in on me!  I guess that is why this last week I made Celebration stickers and paper.

Thinking about how I will use these supplies on my next layout really made me smile, and boy I was needing to smile! Here is one more thing that put a big smile on my face this week...

Carlee is 4 months old, isn't she a doll?!
She brings me more joy that I thought was possible.

Hope your day is filled with lots of smiles, and a little less chicken noodle soup!

A Million and One Things....

So... I found myself pondering about blogging all day today. It's been so long since I've actually  written a post.. that I wasn't sure where to begin. I'm so excited to be a designer on this site and I truly hope that this can be a place were all of us scrapbookers... "diehard" or "wannabe".. can come to be inspired, uplifted, and motivated. I want you to get to know me and I want to know about YOU! I want to know what "You" the scrapbooker would like to see on this site. I want you to feel as though you personally know each of us who design for Signature Scrapbooks. We LOVE what we do!! We hope that our site can be a place that's fun, exciting and of course an outlet from the everyday challenges and chaos! :)

So... I guess in answer to my own question today, "Where should I begin?".... I'll start with "ME!" (Don't worry It's a short BIO.... and I added this picture to break up the text... lol, it really has no correlation with this entry.. but hey it's a picture of me and Jaks.. and now the overwhelming amount of text doesn't seem so bad, right?  ;)
I'm Tiffany Danielle Miller Webster! (lol, yes.. the entire name was necessary!) I was born and raised in St. George, Utah.... and I LOVE TO CREATE!! As a child I use to carry crayons, colored pencils, markers and paper with me wherever I went. I loved to color and draw. School supply shopping was better than my own birthday party. I was the elementary student who horded her brand new 64 count Crayons Box (you know the one with the crayon sharpener on the back) and reluctantly shared because she feared a crayon would come back man handled. I was the 10 year old girl who wouldn't let her mom help her with her own scrapbooks, cause she wanted to do them herself. And the same girl who looks back and wishes she would have let her mom help her. ;) Needless to say, I've always loved to design. Which, led me into taking visual technology classes in college. Although I got my degree in Public Relations and Mass Communication... I never went a semester without a class that I could learn some kind of design skill in.  I pretty much can't eat, sleep or drink without thinking about creating. Everything I see inspires me. Which, is why I am so thankful for the opportunity to design for Signature Scrapbooks. What's better than designing and creating items that you can use in documenting your family history. Ummm.... not much! ;)

And yes... there are a few other things that I love other than designing... the first being my family... particularly my two boys. I am married to my very best friend Wesley Paul... who inspires me and pushes me to be better every day. And in April 2010 I had my first child, Jakston Paul Webster.... whom you will probably see frequently on this blog. He is my inspiration and the reason I want to be better! Better in every aspect of my life.  These 9 months have already flown and I feel as though I have missed so much. It's my goal to be a better... ummm.... "family history documentator...??" yea... scrapbooker sounds better. :) I don't want to forget all the tender moment that I have cherished these last years of my life and I'm ready to design products you'll love, and to actually use my own designs to create scrapbooks for my own family. :) What a concept, huh?

Well... that's pretty much Me! Oh yea... and I do love riding my bike, swimming, camping, Lake Powell.. pretty much anything that allows me to enjoy the Great OutDoors! I love being with family and soaking in the simple things in life!

And in hopes to re-pay you for the few minutes that were lost in your day by reading this post... Here's a Freebie!!! My LotsOfLove Framed Collage, which is great for scrapbooking or for spicing up your blog this Valantine's. It also goes great with my LotsOfLove Paper Pack... :) ENJOY!

Grandma Nye's Best Recipe

I just wanted to share my Grandma Nye's best Belgium Waffle Recipe. It's not like any waffle or Belgium Waffle you've ever had, it is sweet like a dessert.
I want to tell you alittle about my awesome grandma. She grew up in Belgium and moved to the states when she got married to my grandpa, they decided to move back to my grandpa's farm town Malta, ID were they made that their permanent home. She was a very strong women that has been a great example to so many people. Her and her family had to go through the war while in Belgium were they hide a US soldier so he would be safe, it was very risky for her but they knew he had a family and wanted to make sure he would return home to them. Also, she survived breast cancer while in her early 60's. She had to go through chemo and ended up getting one breast removed and thought they got it all . But June of 2010 she fell in her home and broke her leg and while in surgery they found bone cancer all throughout her body. And passed away August 2010. She was a great grandma and a great person. I love my grandma and miss her everyday.
She always made her waffles around Christmas and New Year's, so in remembrance of her I would like to share her delicious waffle recipe.

Day 12 EDL

Yesterday the phone rang at my home, I answered, and my grandma (94 years old), was on the other end.  She said, "You're Home?!" I said, "Yes I am" with a big smile on my face.  She told me that she made some homemade applesauce for my family and was wondering when I might be able to make it over to get it.  She said she had a batch cooking on the stove just for us.  :) I told her I would come over in a few hours to get it.

She was so excited to see us when we walked in the door.  The first the she asked Kason was if he wanted a bowl of applesauce. :) Kason, of course said yes... and ended up having 2 bowls of applesauce... which pretty much made her day! :)  I visited for a while, then ended up leaving with a whole sack full of apples, oranges, a container of applesauce, and some fudge.  It makes her so happy to give what she has to others.

I told her I was doing an Everyday Life Project and taking a "photo a day." I asked her if I could take a picture of her applesauce cooking on the stove, she said sure... While I had my camera out I snapped a few other photos as well... and oh to my surprise!!! My Favorite Photo was captured!  The picture in this post has got to be my favorite one so far this year.  In this one picture, I see so much...  Her house, where I spent the majority of my childhood; My grandpa's elbow at the corner of the table, where he eats his lunch every day and has done for the past 70 years; My grandma pouring applesauce into that little bowl... so many times I have seen this same bowl... so many times she was pouring it for me when I was little; My grandma's worn hands... she has worked so hard her entire life and yet, at 94 still can peel apples all day and make applesauce for her entire family to enjoy...  And last but not least (as I wipe a tear..........) This is the image of her I have in my mind... When I think of her, this is what I see... and although she will not be in my life here on earth forever... this image of her will always be in my mind and heart.  I love you grandma!
